We Grow Better Together
Discipleship was never meant to be practiced alone. An accountability partner is someone who walks with you, encourages you, prays with you, and helps you put what you are learning into practice.
What Is Accountability?
Your accountability partner doesn’t need to have all the answers. They simply need to be someone you trust who is willing to listen, pray, encourage you, and walk with you through the First Principles journey.
Choose an Accountability Partner
Choose someone you trust who will encourage you in your walk with Christ. Preferably, choose someone of the same gender. This could be a friend, family member, small group member, ministry leader, or another believer going through First Principles with you.
Ask them: “Would you be willing to walk with me as my accountability partner through First Principles?”
If you need help finding an accountability partner, reach out to your ministry leader. They can help connect you with someone who can walk with you through the journey.
When You Connect
You don’t need a complicated meeting. Connect regularly and talk about what God is teaching you and how you are putting it into practice.
- What is God teaching you?
- How are you putting it into practice?
- How can I pray for you?
Make the Commitment
Discipleship grows through consistent practice. Commit to checking in with your accountability partner regularly as you go through First Principles. Be honest, encourage one another, pray for one another, and keep pointing each other back to Christ.
We don’t walk alone. We grow together.
