Why First Principles?
First Principles exists to help believers move from simply hearing God’s Word to practicing it. Based on the foundational teachings of Hebrews 6:1–2, this discipleship journey helps believers build a strong foundation in Christ, grow in spiritual maturity, and learn to disciple others.
From Hearing to Practicing
Jesus taught that hearing His words is not enough. In the parable of the two builders, both heard His words, but only the one who heard and practiced them built on a solid foundation. First Principles is designed to help us not only learn God’s Word, but put it into practice in everyday life.
Our Approach to Discipleship
First Principles follows a simple journey: Learn → Reflect → Practice → Connect → Grow. We learn God’s Word, reflect on what God is showing us, put His Word into practice, walk with others in accountability and community, and grow into disciples who can disciple others.
Our Goal
Our goal is not simply to produce people who know more about the Bible, but disciples whose lives are being transformed by God’s Word and who are equipped to help others follow Jesus.
Our Role in Discipleship
Pastors and leaders equip believers for the work of ministry. Believers are called to follow Jesus and help others follow Him. And through it all, the Lord is the One who teaches, corrects, and transforms us as we grow.
